a tennis commercial came on featuring a number of famous athletes, one of whom was Maria Sharapova. Here is the conversation that followed:
Grandma: “Sports are no fun to watch if the athletes are ugly. They have to be a little good looking. Like this girl, she’s very pretty. What’s her name?”
Mom: “Maria Sharapova.”
Grandma: “Is she Mexican?”
Mom: “No, she’s Russian.”
Grandpa: “Russian girls are pretty. They have nice bodies.”
Grandma: [a long, very Korean-sounding] “oooooh”
